My my my… busy days these days were! My head hurts from all the stuff that has been going on, or maybe it’s the ale… hmmmm no definetely too many things going on, can’t be the ale. Guess I’m not that used to lot’s of stuff happening after spending that time in the mines. Bit rusty, but I’ll be fine.
So we went out to that Seaman’s temple… I don’t get it though why it’s a seagod, if it’s actually built near a lake! Ha, and they call me slow! I can be clever if I want to! Anyway we went around the marketplace first checking if there were people who knew something about the disappearances, noone was too forthcoming, but me and that human had some fun with this old lad who definetely knew more, he said something about sneaky cloaky people heading to the back entrance of the inn. So a few of us went in the back and I went into the front, since that is the place where you can interrogate AND have a drink. Turned out the silent guy and the human already had some fun with him in the back and he was more than willing to spill whatever it was he was hiding, apparently not missing people, too bad. NIce that the ale was good though, a nice break from all the interrogating.
So I thought we might as well head to the temple and confront some people, didn’t turn out too great, I knew they were lying about knowing stuff, but well, I just don’t know all the pretty words to make people talk, and I don’t like putting to much pressure on priestesses and stuff, although that human didn’t seem to mind… have to keep an eye on him, not sure where he’s keeping his conscience.
Anyway missie the great dress-upper went about stealing some keys, I kinda like that half human, although don’t like the sneaking part, I’d rather be upfront about stuff. But in this case it was kinda useful. There was some talk about there being a back entrance to the temple, so we went there at night. Think that friend of Red (that human one) seemed a bit too shady to be clean… but he helped finding the back entrance, so we went there at night after having some more beers in the inn, the innkeeper seemed to be happy we just came for food and drinks, and not threaten him some more. Hmmm the ale was good, should find a way to carry along kegs without the heavy lifting on trips… Interesting, maybe that wizardy posh elf can do some magic, should ask her sometime. Although, don’t think she likes me much, can’t imagine why not, I make lots of good jokes!
Ah yeah the temple, went in at night, there were some guys guarding, they tried to shoot us, we killed a few of them, let two of them go, they had family… I don’t like killing someone’s dead and won’t if I don’t have to. Anyway, that wasn’t too hard, then we went on, there was a big water and when mister quiet went in he got grabbed by some tentacles. We tried to kill the bloody thing, but it went under water again. We had to do something to get accross, and it turns out I’m the only one brave enough to face a little tentacly creature, so I went in the water, swam a bit, got grabbed and then that silly dragonlike one started pulling me back, I WAS SO CLOSE!!! Ehh yeah things went slightly black for a bit, I think. I swam some more, got to the edge and killed it thoroughly. Pulled a lever, bridge appeared, dunno why the lever was on that side, seems illogical, but then again the whole idea of a seagod temple is silly near a lake, so might as well add this sillyness.
Where was I? Ah yeah the bridge, the others came along, turned out there was another room with creepy crawlies guarding some statue. Killed those too and took the statue. I dunno what to do with it, seems black magicky of some sort.
So we went back to Alton to show the statue, he didn’t know anything about it. So we went back to the temple to show it to the high priestess who didn’t want to help us before. Turned out that the cleaner (or whoever he was) went missing and that we actually took his keys. So we decided to pay his house a visit, couldn’t visit him or his family, because they weren’t there, so much for that. We had a look around the house, there were mainly some dead dark plants, felt like black magicky stuff too, gives me the creeps. Turned out when one of the group questioned the neighbour that the family had gone missing earlier and that our cleaner-guy had left in a rush.
We found some plant-know-it-all-lady, who actually didn’t know all, just that indeed dark magic was involved with those dead plants and she would look into it for us, but needed some time. Also Alton needed some time to find out more about the statue and stuff. Well I can’t go about and do nothing while people are figuring out stuff. Dunno where to look though, never had much dealings with dark magicky stuff, perhaps there’s some picture of the dead plants or dark statue in some book, so I guess I’ll go have a look in the library. I’m not too good at reading, but I can manage, and I need to find a picture first anyway. The lady at the libary looked rather funnily at me when entering the library, as if I didn’t belong there, pah… I can read! So… there. Will be careful with sneaking some ale in though, she already seemed suspicious enough…
